Dan Bejar's ninth LP under the Destroyer moniker may be his most interesting yet. From spacey electronics to acid-jazz, his eclectic yet cohesive range of styles produces an overwhelming success that showcases some of his best songwriting to date. Uses of funk, blue-eyed soul, and ambient electronics complement a dizzying and infectious array of songs guided by great use of brass and vocals, the latter of which showcase the exciting theatrics of Sibel Thrasher.
